A bus of Bronx middle schoolers pulled up to the Capitol this morning for a long-planned field trip just a few hours after the government shut down.

All Capitol tours were cancelled as the guides can’t work in shutdown.

So I escorted them in myself and gave them a personal tour. They were great!

I asked him a simple question about the difference between his work SETI's and he absolutely lost it (on stage). Then backstage in the greenroom he had a full on tantrum for 10 minutes over my question while the organizers tried to console him like a small child.

I met him in the UK, and I've never seen a worse behaved scientist. He's not just conspiratorial as hell, he's a vindictive tantrum-throwing toddler with a persecution complex. We were literally all in shock.
