Priorities.

A bus of Bronx middle schoolers pulled up to the Capitol this morning for a long-planned field trip just a few hours after the government shut down.

All Capitol tours were cancelled as the guides can’t work in shutdown.

So I escorted them in myself and gave them a personal tour. They were great!

Does he always smirk like that when he's lying?

Most of the power authoritarians have is freely given. We should not comply with them in advance.

Trump is far weaker than he looks. So is the GOP. We should draw them out, drain them at every opportunity, and fight for people’s wellbeing at every turn.

We have been sent here to fight for people.

Trump is not helping the farmers.

But this is class warfare, and those at the top are bleeding everyone dry.

So basically, "We want to steal your technology and profit from your expertise without actually rewarding you, and you're not welcome to stay."

Ironically, if we invested in our education system, rather than sinking back into creationism, we wouldn't have this problem.

I asked him a simple question about the difference between his work SETI's and he absolutely lost it (on stage). Then backstage in the greenroom he had a full on tantrum for 10 minutes over my question while the organizers tried to console him like a small child.

I met him in the UK, and I've never seen a worse behaved scientist. He's not just conspiratorial as hell, he's a vindictive tantrum-throwing toddler with a persecution complex. We were literally all in shock.
