Well that fucking sucks. I took my doggo's collar off earlier cause he threw up and I wanted to let his neck breath and...now the two thick metal loops have somehow come apart.
At least there's a small loop that I managed to get it on, although it hurt my thumb.

Oh how I love that WEBTOON has been releasing older webtoons for free that I have paid for in their entirety on other platforms 🫩.
A part of me feels like this is opportunist to try and create a monopoly.

Of characters returning home, with music playing, only for said character's lover to be dead. Glad that didn't happen lol. Also his sneeze was so damn girlish and funny, the way both Morgan and Oz stopped dead in their tracks when they heard it kill me.
And way to end on a cliffhanger.

Aw, Daphne wasn't in this episode much. Also, the whole framing yourself to be seen as framed but innocent was a different approach lol.
Glad it didn't go where I thought it was when Karadec returned home, I've seen too many plotlines--

Hmm, idk if Harper would make him go out to dinner, it feels more like she'd raid his fridge while telling him he's foolish to be so hung up on it.
But yeah, it feels disjointed cause of the lack of smooth transitions, lack of exposition, not much character development/interaction rn either.

If they're keeping all their writing budget for an action packed season finale i'm gonna die a little inside.

I was honestly surprised to see Angela, Wesley and James at the end.
I mean, yeah there were a few scenes of them going after one of the escapees last episode but that feels more patrolling rather than detective work.

Or even introduce a new one, like a cartel that took over when La Fiera died or something. GIVE US SOMETHING-- more than Monica, Oscar or the run of the mill, every day bad guy. As I've said before, give us metro, nightshit, something new. The further into this season I get the more annoyed I am.

Really hope they don't keep rushing things though, but I feel like the tone has been set for this season if the previous episodes are any indication.

Cast doesn't really feel that big to be honest.
Grey sometimes, Tim, Lucy, Penn, Celina, Nolan, Harper & Angela. Speaking of when was the last time we actually saw them do detective work & i'm not even referring to the aftermath scene of them having to dumpster dive & wanting to burn their clothes.

With how much he was showing up in the last episode preview I kind of expected the court case/Liam arc to start already.
So i'm just sitting here kinda disappointed.

My first Nathan Fillion introduction was when he was Caleb in Buffy lol.
But I have watched Castle (with my mom back when it aired) I do have it on my Hulu list to eventually rewatch.

Hopefully in a grave, but even if she were, we'd once again be missing out on some crucial exposition. At least give us the Liam arc, damn.

It's supposedly came back tonight/tomorrow on Hulu but I haven't checked. One thing that High Potential does better than the Rookie is it sticks to a formula, the weakest part is said formula makes it very easy to discern who the perp is though, so it'd be nice for them to switch that up honestly.

Only to pan to the two apparent robbers at the end, it would've been nice to see Nolan be a faux-detective and find out who they are from their venmos.
This season is really missing out on some crucial exposition.

Well it took a bit for me to like Tim, he was such a hardass and using racism "go back to your own country" as a test in S1. If they understood English, they had every right to report you, you jackass. He's better now but him calling out his lack of communication but still NOT COMMUNICATING irks me.

I think i had to wait a month or two for S8's premiere.
I did however, miss the S2 opening of High Potential, only for it to go on a mid-season break as soon as I watched all the current episodes.

All of that time wasted just for the sad buildup of "oops wrong person, don't tell anyone." Like i know people are dumb, but really? That's the way they went about it?

Oh yeah, that's another thing, they're completely glossing over roll call. Ever since Grey got promoted and Tim had his first official roll call and then...never again.
We also have not heard a word about nightshift in eons.

If I knew S8 was gonna be a lot left desired I wouldn't have binged the previous seasons starting late last year.
I didn't get around to watching it today until around noon.

Yeah. I have nothing to add to that. But thinking of it, the whole lineup sequence kind of reminds me of the infamous Brooklyn 99 lineup sequence and I wonder if they were kinda trying to do the same thing here but failed miserably.

It could be that they wanted another "five minutes" like how it was with her and Aaron but...if so, feels like it'll ruin any potential character development.

Really hoping the later episodes are better.

Thorsen just up and leaving with no written goodbye.
The pd explosion.
His mom leaving.
And who knows what else.

I'm hoping maybe they were thinking to make parallels between the two and eventual character development but idk.

I guess maybe there was some build up with them being on different schedules, but they were both shown to have adjusted to it. It just feels like they wanted to add unnecessary drama.
Yeah we don't see any EMT's/firefighters/paramedics anymore, ruins the immersion.

After Eric's persistence to get Tim's mom to show up, I, y'know expected her to be in more than one damn episode. It honestly felt like they were just doing it to appease him and then quickly glossed it over.
