Couple moved in next door. Old bloke lived there before had a beautiful garden. He spent every day in it. New guy ripped out everything & put fake grass in. So I've planted trees next to the boundary that will fill his lawn with dead leaves in the autumn. This one's for you Alf

89 years ago, on the 4th of October 1936, antifascist counter protesters stopped a British Union of Fascists march through London’s East End. The Metropolitan Police tried to clear the way for the fascists resulting in violent clashes known as the Battle of Cable Street. #otd #history 🗃️

One cowboy sees a tree that's draped in bacon. "A bacon tree! We're saved!" He says. He runs to the tree, but suddenly out of the blue bullets come flying from all directions he's shot and killed on the spot.
Turns out it wasn't a bacon tree, it was a ham bush.
