I’ll never forget when I saw Chaka Khan at The Kennedy Center in 2020 and while she was singing “I’m Every Woman” she pointed to the right and to the left said “Ladies over here! Ladies over here!” and then looked at me and my gay friends and said, “Even if you’re not a lady!”
