One name to keep an eye on for Providence mayoral candidate @davidmoralespvd.bsky.social’s RI House seat is Providence Ward 5 Councilwoman Jo-Ann Ryan, who is term limited next year.

Her response when asked if she’s looking at running for House District 7:

Not that I’m aware of, but he has always been vocal about his views on Mayor Smiley, is a Providence state rep and recently posted he is looking at seeking higher office so it certainly would have been an option one could assume.

Few days late on this, but we can rule out state Rep. @enriquesanchezri.bsky.social as a candidate for mayor of Providence next year.

He’s backing state Rep. @davidmoralespvd.bsky.social. Sanchez also recently posted he’s looking at a higher office.
