For people defending Casey Means - I don't think they understand the very large jump in responsibility from having a safety net of supervisors as a resident to practicing medicine on your own. It really shapes you as a clinician and is a critical step in becoming a doctor.

Normally its the college but he's sued the CPSA so much they won't do anything. He's selling a prescription substance (ivermectin) directly to patients which can get him in trouble with Health Canada (along with false advertising)

So many issues:

1) "ivermectin clinic" isn't a real thing
2) this doctor is unlicensed and therefore doesn't have a real clinic
3) practicing medicine without a license is illegal
4) ivermectin is ineffective for cancer

An extra dose of MMR vaccine is only recommended for those who got a single dose between 1967-1989 if you are in or travelling to areas with active measles outbreaks. Vinay Prasad has become a rage-baiting antivaccine hack. Can he give any evidenced reason why this recommendation is wrong?

The NIH should do no such thing

1. Vinay directly contributed to "damaging" the brand
2. mRNA cancer vaccines are very promising
3. mRNA vaccines are easy to make and adjust compared to other technology

The problem is - most of these people have moved on to other gifts. Antiparasitics for cancer, "vaccines cause autism" and other nlantivax tropes. Lack of effort to push back likely directly contributed to RFK Jr as HHS secretary
