As a fan of Psycho, I wrote about Ed Gein's horrific story (the inspiration for Norman Bates) in my book βCannibalism: A Perfectly Natural Historyβ. His story was certainly not "perfectly natural" but I used it as an example of how a reputed cannibal turned into a 50's media sensation.π
