Cannon tip for newer players… chain shots and players are heavier than cannon balls, this makes them travel slower and not as far. Therefor when firing yourself, a crewmate or chainshot always lead you shot more and aim higher. #SeaOfThieves @seaofthieves.com

Tip for newer players who might find themselves solo against a skelly sloop. Ease the pressure on having to repair and bucket by always aiming to kill the skelly using cannon. Do this with a cannon ball or a single hit with your eye of reach. #SeaOfThieves @seaofthieves.com

This has zero effect on Rep and has continued into season 15. If your already SeaOfThieves rich just save time and sell to sovereigns as normal.

However since season 9 and the introduction of being able to sell Hunters Call items to sovereigns, in a bid to still keep seaposts relevant NPCs found at the seaposts started to apply a 1.5x multiplier to the original amount gold they used to pay you before season 9 for selling directly to them.

I don't know who needs to hear this but selling Hunters Call items to sovereigns does NOT I repeat does NOT give you less rep than selling directly to the Hunters Call representatives. You earn the same amount of rep from both. #Seaofthieves #HuntersCall @Seaofthieves.com
