-Durin (Varka knows better than to mess with him since he's under the protection of several powerful ppl... not to mention his strange dragon powers. Yet he cant deny now tempting it is to take advantage of how innocent he is about a lot of human society)

Varka treads carefully around him for a couple reasons: his alchemical powers, his connection to the hexenzirkel, and his reputation for being trusted and bluntly impartial when assessing things. He'd be a tricky character to discredit if ever did try to bring Varka's crimes to light)

Not cause he doesnt care about his colleagues, but just that the signs of abuse are subtle and not something he'd even think to be looking for. Someone acting weird could be written off by him as a social thing he hasn't quite grasped.

tbh this was weirdly tricky to write now that im starting to like Varka in the recent archon quest wtffff haha but im so glad you asked!

-Albedo (since he isolates himself and doesn't pry into the personal lives of folks, Varka's actions go mostly unnoticed by him.

"your tag's sticking out," he says. "oh! thank you," nikaidou responds. after a pause, he asks "are you okay?"
