I bring this up because I see people occasionally post photos from when they were teenagers or kids and those photos are missing for me. I only know of like 3 photos of myself from the ages of 5-18, and anything after that only exists thanks to Instagram and Google Photos backups...

Something that's been bugging me is that from something like 1998-2013, we switched to digital cameras but there wasn't really any social media to upload photos to. So unless you went and got photos printed (which my family rarely did), those photos would only exist in an easily lost format.
