I remember briefly fighting that fight. Then my dog figured out a loophole and would wait until I fell asleep before sneaking onto the bed. Now it feels weird if he's not there.
They train us well.

A little later on the walk we encountered a dead swan that a fox had got at, but I thought that the tantrum about not being allowed to go sniff/bathe in it was less photogenic so I didn't bother getting my phone out.

Snowdrops to sniff, crinkly leaves to run though and sunbeams to snooze in for the post walk nap. Reg and I had a nice morning.

Reg is currently fiending for Serrano ham.

A keen looking mini schnauzer stands in a reindeer themed jumper, his eyebrows poking out from under the hood which is festooned with a pair of antlers.

I'm offshore this Xmas but I've just been sent this photo of Reg in his Xmas jumper and it's cheered me up a treat, hope it brings some cheer to others that need it today too.

They're a charity that pays the vet bills for rescues, adopters and fosterers of schnauzers.

He was like a different dog on his walk today, no timidity with other dogs at all, straight up saying hello to all of them. He was either embarrassed and overcompensating or playing the part of a scary schnauzersaurus. Either way it was funny.

Where did you get those outfits? It feels like my schnauzer needs to have one of them in the near future.

They're really very reasonable conditions.

Reg proving he can have perfect recall if:
There are no other people around,
There are no other dogs around,
There are no birds flying overhead,
There are no sheep in line of sight/earshot,
He can be bothered,
I have already proven I have treats in my pocket.
