Texas republicans just pissed off a ton of voters by shutting down county wide voting in Dallas, and blocking the polls staying open until 9.

It could burn down into the double bottom eventually and if so any heavy fuel oil there would burn. But it’s possible they burn light diesel and LNG boiloff normally and don’t carry heavy fuel. Without ship fairly detailed layout and systems configuration I can’t tell.

All that was on fire at that point was the front two it looks like cargo dewars. I don’t specifically know where they store engine fuel but if they carry heavy oil it’s probably in the double bottom below the cargo compartment below the dewar lower skin. Flames are above the LNG boiling surface.

Natural gas is methane with a bit of ethane and propane mixed in. Those all burn cleanly. The ships engine fuel and lubricants would be contamination if they spill, but we don’t know yet if it will completely burn up or sink or just burn out without breaching the fuel tanks and engine room.

Norwegian citizen Hamid Amini was killed by an American-Israeli airstrike over the weekend. He worked at DNV ( the famous ship rating agency) and studied at NTNU. He was visiting his family.

She’d Never Changed Her Gender Marker. Kansas Invalidated Her License Anyway. — Assigned A trans Kansas resident recently changed her name but not her gender marker on her license, fearing what Kansas may do if she did. The Kansas DMV still flagged her ID.

This story, from @natezuke.bsky.social, is absolutely wild. A trans woman who never changed her gender marker was issued a letter invalidating her license. At the DMV they cut up her license, which had an "M" marker.
