There's nothing wrong with vetting and it doesn't surprise me. Where I come from, people get blocked when they deserve it, not because they tried to say hello.

I got blocked by someone I followed because I had no profile. Dude, there's a picture of a book I wrote on my profile! You can see my soul through that thing! And who has the kind of time to check every profile for the phrase "Super blue truth warrior"? I am...but it loses all meaning after a while.
