I finally got to finish watching Star Trek: Lower Decks! The finale was much more exciting than I expected. The strong coffee I drank this morning may have had something to do with it, but still... #STLD #StarTrek

I'm "udderly" amazed by the quality of these covers. Can't find the wolf, though!

Even though it's as background music, I can still appreciate the progression of the songs more than if I listen to them separately. Playlists have their place but albums have their own unity and architecture.

I know, right? Among other things, digital music (whether local or streaming) has totally changed the way we listen to music. For a while I even kind of forgot that albums are designed to be listened to from start to finish. Now I make it a point to do that often, instead of just isolated songs.

I wish I had enough free time to just sit down and listen to music sometimes—not as background music while I do something else (which I do every day); as the focus of my attention, so I can really pay attention to the lyrics, sing along, pay more attention to the melodies, the flow of the album...

I only moved away because of life circumstances that made it necessary, but I would've been happy to stay there for the rest of my life. Beyond the beauty of the place, Cape Ann has a lot of art, music, and theater. I left 12 years ago and still miss it.

I lived in Gloucester for a couple of years, and Rockport was part of my regular stamping ground. I love it!

Listening to Trump speak at the UN, above all when he seems to go off-script, is so cringe and embarrassing.

It's as if people miss the fact that a key element of the Gospel is the detachment of election and salvation from national identity. And Christian theocracy historically always slides into the violation of Gospel principles.

Good article. Scary facts, though, for a variety of reasons. There's a good reason behind the separation of church and state. And Trump's blatant and cynical manipulation of Christian sentiment is noxious and nauseating to me.
