Need another five sheets of the darker blue. Then to airbrush on darker-still blue around the edges, and airbrush some waves onto both the shallow and deep water.
Lighter blue will be 1” depth (half move, mechs half submerged), darker blue will be 2” depth (one-third move, mechs fully submerged).

I went back and bought one😅

Lots to make so it’s not going to be in March.
At last I’ll get to use the Mauna-Kea & Monitor ships, and 2 Kalki cruise missile launchers. The latter will be the aggressor target.

Exactly! I want to make some fortifications for BattleTech and want them to look like they’re bristling with guns. These turrets will be perfect.

6 turrets for ¥990 yen…tempting. A bit small for #battletech but not everything needs to be huge guns.

With the Donar having taken structural damage (only 1 pip left!) it was forced to withdraw, leaving the Schiltron crew to search the Anhur wreckage for the package at their leisure.

Here’s the rules we used, and a revision we might use when replaying the scenario. What do you think?

The Drac Cardinal VTOL goes down (only meters from the VTOL crash site which drew everyone here!).
In return the Schiltron demolishes the building containing the remaining two squads of clan infantry.

The Ravens have their Donar VTOL and two squads of heavy jump infantry left in the fight. The jumpers move toward the advancing Schiltron, and we get a chopper battle!

Morning comes and the game continues! All mechs have been destroyed or forced to withdraw. All Drac APCs & infantry gone (again the clan brought a building down on a squad!😆). Why clear a building when you can just turn it to rubble?🤔
Dracs have the Cardinal gunship and the undamaged Schiltron…

It’s a race to search the second crash site (this was *not* planned!😆) for the data.
The Panther and Warhammer fell and a lot of other units are now armour-less so will begin withdrawing.
The clan Donar chopper hovers over the crash site threateningly.
(Or asking for a SAM up its ass…)

The Dracs hit that fleeing bird with all they could. APCs’ cannons, infantry firing SRMs, the Panther…and finally the Hatamoto-chi struck it from the air!

End of T3: Jenner down (Warhammered in the back), Dragon down, Incubus down, 1 Hachiman & Asshur spotter down…and six squads of DCMS troops when Clan fire brought down the buildings there were in!😱
Flamer fire did manage to half cook the Vapour Eagle though.

T3 before the shooting: on the left and right flanks we have battles with units trying to outflank each other.
In the middle the Drac APCs move up and flood the battlefield with infantry armed with flamethrowers and short range missiles!!😬

The clan mechs move to block the streets. The Jenner IIC, Incubus, Shadowhawk IIC and Vapour Eagle turn the platoon of DEST into a red smear, and badly damage one APC. The Dragon takes heavy damage. The Horned Owl nearly loses all armour and the Vapour Eagle takes heavy fire from infantry and APCs.

T2 both side’s gunships disgorge their infantry. 2 squads of clan heavy jumpers, then the Anhur retreats atop a tower to act as spotter. The Drac Cardinal drops 3 squads of DEST and retreats out of sight behind the hospital. Everyone else moves up…

T1 everyone moves up. Gunships advance ready to drop their troops next turn within running distance of the objective. Drac APCs roar up the road en masse into the city.
Mechs advance but little fire is exchanged.

That is bloody amazing😍

Setup. My BMP2 force deployed and rushed forward down the road. My T72 swung wide around the downed B52 and shot at the Leopard commanders in the open and wildly missed. The return fire from the the ambushing leopards was punishing and ripped my T72 to bits.

Sergeitov leads his BMP motor rifle company onto the objective. I was flicking fire all over the shop here with spandrel missiles streaking out and taking down the leopards with some very lucky rolling on the bottom left of shot. Meanwhile the infantry pushed up to the fast food restaurant

My reserves arrive with a full force of BMP2 infantry and layed down a large amount of fire. With Kalashnikov teams and 30mm cannon laying it on, 5+ firepower tests were the order of the day and I was getting very lucky! By clearing the Aussies off the objective, and thwarting a counterattack, I managed to secure a victory, albeit it *heavy* losses. Still, you can’t make an inlet without breaking 10,000 eggs a day.

Another cracking battle with @leeparnell.bsky.social this evening. A shakedown in prep for a tournament he’s in so we took it slow and went over some obvious stuff that’s often overlooked. 90pts Breakthrough Team Yankee. Lee with ANZAC me with Soviet motor rifles.
