…one of the gunships had only an enhanced turret (with 2D10 guns!) but lost the turret and took an engine hit in one turn! It trundled about at Speed 1 for a couple of turns but managed to get off the board, tanking a few hits on its six.

Some pics from today’s #voidfighter game. 2 vs 2, all had played last week. This time I let them choose their upgrades so they could customise their ships…though one got hit in their Systems and lost all their upgrades in the second turn!😆
They’re learning well though and getting craftier….

I got these rose-like decorations from a craft store after seeing some hobbyist paint them up as cabbages. Cheap and the look the part (excuse mine being alien cabbages).

I really enjoyed making this army. The conversions & the painting were the most characterful I’ve ever done. For a long time I told myself to keep it, I’d play with it sometime, but I know that I won’t. It’s taking up space and I know that I am not going to go back to 40k or GW.

Really hard to photograph this one well. A Snakebite weirdboy strapped to two copper poles, being carried into combat by his four minderz. A grot sits atop him, holding onto a captured Space Wolf flag.

This was one of the best and most memorable 40k art pieces for me. That Necromundan regiment. The titans in the background. The way the officers are stood on the right. The guardsman with a knife ready to stick the enemy.
Fabulous.

Wonderful models and I’ll always love Ork lore but the prices and rules changes every few years made me lose interest a couple of years back. I think I was only playing 40k once a year.

I’m selling my Ork (Snakebite/Badmoon) army on Merucari so took some final photos. Built the army but never played with it.
