Ecosystems are not moral subjects. Neither are species. Individual sentient animals are. It's important not to conflate things that are good "for the environment", "for the animals" as species, and for actual sentient individuals. Those are not always the same.

Not in a slightest controversial take: society should see body hair in all genders as perfectly normal. We should aim at normalizing body hair on women. It's ok to have preferences, but shaming women for not shaving is backwards. You are beautiful the way you want to be, with body hair or without.

They should receive any care they need to, but always have a choice. Not everyone wants to live in this world, and that's ok, perfectly understandable. The current suicidist system promotes paternalism and even slavery. The humanist, anti-oppressive system must promote choice and care.

And we must allow people who want to, who are competent adult beings, to decide about not only their life but also their death. There are multiple reasons one does not want to continue their existence, and it's entirely up to them to decide whether those reasons are enough.

We absolutely should invest in mental health support, promote healthy life, but this is not enough. We need to dismantle capitalism, imperialism and neocolonialism, institutionalised sexism, rascism, ableism and quuerphobia. Make the world centered on sentient beings, not accumulation of capital.

By claiming all suicide is irrational You are taking away agency and reason from a big group of people. It is discriminatory - ableist, sanist, and suicidist. Suicidism is a form of oppression theoretized by professor Alexandre Baril, you can take a look at his book "undoing suicidism" (2023).

If You claim all suicides are irrational you are pathologizing and stigmatizing suicide. People in their right mind die by suicide. People with mental ilness die by suicide too, and their decision can be perfectly informed and wanted by them.

And to suggest a philosophical pessimists stance, that it would be better if the world never existed, is reasonable and should be seriously considered by intellectually honest thinkers.

A terrorist state of Israel committing a full-blown genocide of Palestinian people with USA plutocratic regime's active approval is the result of capitalism, neoliberalism, neocolonialism and imperialism. To oppose those is a moral obligation.

Veganism is the only moral approach to animal farming. Full abolitionism, animal liberation, rejecting speciesism. Buying animal products is participating in animal abuse, in torturing sentient individuals enslaved in animal concentration camps. Go vegan 🌱
