This wasn't at all where this story was supposed to go and it's obvious the fame and fortune i sought isn't coming anytime soon. So for me to return to my roots and to seek happiness again in this one life I have on this Earth, I'm being a hobbyist writer again.

Funny how life works. One week you're excited to release a story you've been writing for over half a year, the next... you're excited to scrap it all. I've stopped writing NaB for a plenty of reasons, but the main one is that I'm just unhappy with it.

also the hiring event was ASS. took 3+ hours over 400 people there. I got brought forward ahead of people and i still had to wait forever. I gave a resume to a dude and recieved 2 papers to apply to other places. UGGHHHHHHHHHHH

Ooouuughhhh -$100 for service fee + not having laptop for few days + possibly larger fee depending on the issue

And i still have to create a new resume today and buy ink so i can print it out so i can go to a job hiring event tomorrowwww

These past few days have been a complete mess, man. Had to go to a resume workshop on Friday, clean on Saturday, hosted a party on Sunday.
The plan was to have my story approved a few days earlier so i could start posting today but i still have to edit some stuff and now my laptop has diedddd

Thank God i didn't submit my work on Royal Road yet. Last night my laptop died and now refuses to charge. Praying it's just the battery and that i didn't short my motherboard by plugging it into an old power strip. Gonna go to a repair shop in a few hours so fingers crossed 🤞

Hope you're paying him for his work, otherwise i might have to report this to the Department of Labor...

Just had a dream where i accidentally used a name from Wanderlust when referring to a new character i was writing for my new story. That's a first lul. I grew really anxious and stressed before i woke up because i was going to publish it with the typo

But just talking about "my story" feels really gross and I can only talk for so long before I run out of what little there is so say or explain. "Yeah this happens and then this and the character feels this way and will do this later"

Shitty friend? Skill issue on my part? Overreacting? Everything in between? Idk man it just fucking sucks. Same goes for my parents as well, they just don't give two shits or care, and when i try to talk about anything they just go "uh huh sure" & start ranting about something unrelated

He'll talk on and on about the industry, history, mechanics of a game while I can barely explain what I'm doing/going for in my story. It doesnt help that he doesnt have an interest in it to begin w/ so every time its my turn to speak I just feel so embarrassed and try to wrap it up as fast as I can

I suppose it all wraps around into "wanderlust" but even then when i reach my home... then what? I've had this same feeling since i was younger and i was surprised it took this long to pop back up. But after chatting w/ my friend again, it only reminded how lame i am comparatively.

Nothing has hooked me and been a staple. Sure i like medieval fantasy shit but i don't read, i don't lore dive and get engrossed in the world building. I have no interest in the sciences or the yearning to pursue knowledge.

I am reminded how uninteresting I truly am. Not in a "pity me" sort of way but in a "damn this dude actually boring as hell." All i do is write my silly story, eat chip, and watch slop. I'm jealous of any that have found their special interest because i have yet to find mine.

Feel like all the scenes of hobo gandalf in the new rings of power season is just quote farming. I get they're trying to recapture the wholesome hobbit journey of LOTR but man it kinda stanky. Rest is pretty good so far tho

Fucking SHEESH YIKERS DUDE, If I manage to write 4 chapters a week (Mon,Tues,Thurs,Fri) I won't be ready until early October. That blows since I want all the chaps written with a snap of my finger and start posting now, but maybe I can squeeze in an extra chapter a week (or at least half of one...)
