Texans are still waiting for November SNAP benefits Although the federal government has said it will deposit half of November benefits, Texans are still unsure when money will land in their accounts.

A wrenching story about the people who don't know when they will eat next because Trump and Republicans are holding food assistance hostage. They need to distribute SNAP benefits immediately, and return to D.C. to work with us on a deal to reopen the government. www.texastribune.org/2025/11/05/t...

Peter Diamandis tweets: "800,000 layoffs in 2025. 10,000 in September alone tied to AI. Jobs are disappearing fast. But here’s the truth no one wants to say: It’s the start of a new gold rush... for those who learn how to build with the machines, not fight them."

Elon Musk replies: "Working will be optional in the future.

There will be universal high income."

The Vice President of the United States used his social media page to tell Joy Reid, a private citizen with no connection to the government, that she should express "gratitude" for how this country has treated her.

Black women remain the most consistent targets in all of this.

#BLS has delayed the 2024 Consumer Expenditures Survey annual release. This is likely due to the severe understaffing in the agency.

The lack of mainstream coverage of regular huge protests reminds me of a talk from a Twitter employees who explained that they had to drop BLM off the Trending Tags section because otherwise it would have been there permanently. The modern media environment has no appetite for sustained movements.

Sesame Street will be putting a huge collection of episodes on YouTube starting in January 2026

This is a fantastic way to educate children

It’s a form of resistance.

Shows like Sesame Street teach love, tolerance, acceptance & more.

These lessons are crucial for the long fight ahead.

A DOJ lawyer accused Harvard of β€˜indifference to antisemitism.’ As a Harvard undergrad he wrote a paper from Hitler’s perspective. - The Boston Globe Michael Velchik once also told a peer that "Mein Kampf" was among his favorite recent reads.

Perfect encapsulation of the Trump administration: The guy suing Harvard for alleged antisemitism is a straight-up Hitler-admiring Nazi.

Here is my main opinion on AI, in every capacity: What is the point of technology? Is it to make our lives better and easier, or is it to make a very small percentage of people richer? The latter is what AI is doing. The people actually doing the coding are making themselves redundant.
