If i wanted to be blocked id do it myself, but i think acv is someone who constantly needs to be refuted and pointed out that theyre doing some bullshit even if it falls on deaf ears
The other side of "why post like this" is that if i type out someone's name who obviously name searches, im going to get blocked or harassed by their followers and id rather make it clear why im taking issue with them w/o incurring undue wrath
(there is much more to this but generally speaking theres a reason why acv isnt really respected outside of the niche shes found herself in!)
(this in turn brought about sloppier reporting from a smaller team that was using the name they had built and basically associated it with stories that got the new team laid off pretty shortly after they got started)
(the reason she goes after aftermath is that she feels wronged by some of the people who work there, who don't like her since she went to work for the new waypoint that opened after the original team publicly left and went their own ways, leaving it as a shell that underpaid reporters like her)
She has ulterior motives for specifically targeting Aftermath, which she doesn't really bother to disclose either. It doesn't quite make sense to hound Aftermath when there are larger outlets, but she omits any sort of reasoning why she'd be going after them for this.
I elaborate further but like I do not find her to be a very reliable reporter or advocate for a multitude of reasons and I think she has probably done more harm to the movement by doing shit like this (hawkishly watching reporters to see if they report on a service changing terms of service)
