Book 3-2025: Eco, H. (1997). How to write a thesis.
A book i read meanwhile traveling to Argentina. Eco's prose and logic is just brilliant. More that guidelines, the lecture is funny, full of sharp and clever comments, also, helped me to redesing some of my research and writting strategies. Gold.
2025 wasn't a year with much spare time... Well, better late than never:
Book 2-2025: Acemoglu & Robinson (2012) Why Nations Fail.
Something has stuck with me with this one "if political and economic power do not align, in the end one will succumb to the other's agenda.". I see it clearly in GT
Was such an AMAZING week! Under the heat of the Mendocine summer, I learned so much, finally understood my analyses, met brilliant and amazing people, and now I feel completely ready to take on the challenges of genomics 🧬
Thank you so much to the organizers and instructors — it’s been incredible!
Almost a year ago I began my journey at UMG's Campus B, and today, after many months of work, I achieved my first major victory.
May teaching and research always go hand in hand ✨

Book 1-2025: Kariko, K. (2023). Breaking Through, my life in Science.
Reading about the life of a great biologist made me reflect on life in academia, the importance of funding, making sure your work truly has an impact, and the environment needed for developing scientific inquiry.
Since Blue.sky isn't that local (and i still have to find my people here), i'll meanwhile use this account as a log of the books I read this year :)
