They don't *need* AI to make these decisions. But they *want* AI to make these decisions. Because the tech gives them plausible deniability--something to blame (other than themselves) when things go wrong.

I think it is important to note that there’s nothing wrong with having a different neurotype, such as autism (ASD), ADHD, etc. Pathologizing someone with autism potentially exacerbates existing harms they’re likely already struggling with. It leads to harmful labeling and stigma.

Maybe I’m speaking out of line here (that’s heavy sarcasm by the way) but individuals with autism aren’t pawns to be used in political games and shouldn’t continue to be further stigmatized for an agenda.

This creates a social dynamic where trust cannot exist, which is a problem for any ideology built on the idea social trust is possible.

A useful analogy I’ve heard is between cognitive bias and optical illusions. Squares A & B in the famous Adelson Checkerboard Illusion are exactly the same shade of grey. You can confirm this by cutting them away from or covering the surrounding imagery. BUT YOU STILL SEE THE ILLUSION.
