I think it’s fair to say there have been more overt attacks on and threats to freedom of expression in the US since January than in our entire history. And recently they are accelerating and getting more brazen.

Everybody gamely says “Vance hosted Kirk’s podcast” instead of “the regime officially turned the major channel into state-controlled media just as it began its violent crackdown on any opposition or dissident messages.”

Seems like a good time to point out that grocery prices are increasing and unemployment is up and, unless you’re a billionaire or a person with a mass-deportation kink, no normal American’s life has improved in any way since Trump took office. I have a column on this posting in the morning.
