The little pockets of space we used to have in the NHS have been gradually redefined as 'waste'. Space to respond well to a dynamic context; space to have MDTs to support good care; space for listening & to hear how everyone's doing.

It is not better for everything & everyone to be completely full.

It's very hard if you work in a firm that has a fixed mindset; being an outlier is one thing but being labelled awkward is something else.

Quiet, stillness, and prayer: it is only in these moments that we get to feel what "life" means β€” and I don't mean our life; I mean the life that's coursing through us at the speed of light and gives glory to those who came before us.

Good morning Rob; I hope you're keeping well. I'm not sure what you mean when you say "Most lawyers don't stall because they lack talent". Do you mean they don't progress to partner? Or they end up doing the same type of work? Most lawyers don't evolve because they're technicians, not entrepreneurs.

β€œTwo duties belong to our souls. One is to reverently marvel. The other is humbly to endure, always taking pleasure in God. He wants us to remember that life is short and it won't be long until we clearly see, within him, all that we desire.”
