We have also cut back on Sam’s for the same reason you mentioned. Also, we tend to buy the Sam’s Club brand of most things if we do get items there which at this point tend to be mostly paper and cleaning products. Otherwise we are an Aldi family.

A common way that we have shaved costs is we no longer buy paper towels and we refill the dawn power spray bottles ourselves. We have about 30 kitchen towels that we just throw in with the laundry throughout the week. With three kids, we’re doing laundry at least two days a week.
