This whole thing has been causing days of mental stress, which I'm certain is only a fraction of what others have had to put up with, and just felt the need to say something on the matter.
This really should not have spread as far as it has and I'm sorry for anyone caught in the crossfire.
As someone who's managed to get a fairly full perspective on the situation, THIS level of hate is NOT warranted and the fact people are going along with it just cuz genuinely breaks my heart. Very few have attempted to descalate the situation, but anyone who tries has been immediately shut down.
