Like... don't get me wrong. I don't think it's some virtue that I'm hyper aware of things. It's not super helpful. But I just don't understand the different media universe they're all in. I'm not like... super political on social media.

A good friend who lives in a nice suburb somewhere far away from Chicago just posted a few days ago to our group chat... an article about ICE violence in Chicago that was like a week or so old? And he seemed like very distraught by it...

I have no idea how to react to them all reacting to it.

Some friends in an adjacent neighborhood didn't realize any of it was actually happening in the city at all until it happened not far away from their place. They... I guess I've never heard of them ingesting news? They must not? I didn't know it was possible to not passively receive this news?

It's been fascinating if also very frustrating to see how long it's taken for news to filter out. An abduction near a school happened not far away from my apartment and I heard about it within an hour. My friends who live near me, ... expressed shock and were very upset _days_ _later_.

Just wait till the fancy New Yorker man defecates himself in horror when he learns matrices usually don't have inverses.

Let's write a short little book on graphical linear algebra for humanities students... So they think the foundations of machine learning are elegant strands of threads which get delicately woven together.

I can't convey how much of a nightmare the new Japanese PM is. She claims to be a conservative in the tradition Margret Thatcher... And that is an insult to Margret Thatcher.
