Possibly, but even so, if you're gonna use visual effects to expand a 4:3 movie onto a 240 foot screen, why would you still have the character's lower bodies be cut off at the bottom of the frame and only add 300% more ceiling

What absolutely baffles me is that based on this image, the Sphere version actually cuts off part of the bottom of the frame from the original film, requiring there to be even *more* negative space at the top.
