It's official: Trump has signed an executive order placing steep tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and China.

I really think that this explains the tariffs and everything else Trump does. He wants to be a robber baron living in a Gilded Age mansion, and he knows the US relied on tariffs during the Gilded Age, so he wants to return to tariffs. (And also destroy all federal regulation.)
