Here’s a thread of high school anti-ICE protests from recent weeks at high schools in Oklahoma, where every county went for Trump both times. A lot of these kids can vote, and most of them will be able to by 2028.

Abolish ICE—For Real This Time Neither activists nor elected Democrats should repeat the mistakes of the past.

Abolish ICE should be more than just an activist slogan. Time to put meat on the bones. By the same token, we need Democrats who won’t run away from good policy, needed accountability measures, and crucial democracy protections simply because they’re scared of Republican lies.
