The so-called Age of Discovery was a commercial project for gold, slaves, and domination. Columbus sailed not to unite worlds, but to claim and exploit them.

This wasn’t just history. It was a blueprint for anti-communist slaughter. The lessons of 1965 matter today more than ever. We owe it to the past, and the future, to remember, organize, and resist ✊️

The CIA had infiltrated the PKI, knew about the plot, and informed Suharto. As the left fumbled to respond, the repression was swift and brutal. Villages turned into killing fields. The Indonesian Communist Party (PKI), once the 3rd largest in the world, was annihilated.

This didn’t come from nowhere. Left leaders like Tan Malaka, Musso, and Amir Sjarifuddin had already been eliminated. In 1965, a failed coup attempt by leftist officers gave Suharto the pretext for a bloodbath, and the West cheered him on.

On 30 Sept 1965, one of the worst massacres of the 20th century began. Backed by the CIA, the Indonesian military and right-wing mobs slaughtered up to 1 million communists and leftists. A methodical purge erased a powerful movement.
