Thanks! Sadly, my spouse went through cancer in 21-2 (and is OK for now) and another friend in 24-5 (she didn't make it). One thing I'm trying to do is support his spouse, having been through it myself; she was the one who thought having some entertainment would help him get through the long days 😔

By "he loves bonsai" what I mean is he asked the oncologist if he could bring his trees with him for overnight stays.

(The answer was "no")

In fact, I learned he had cancer because he was trying to outplace tree saplings to friends.

I feel this as a former drummer because it really is much less fun to drum by yourself as compared with guitar or piano or just about any other instrument. Creating space for each other is a great way to think about game design as an ethos

Daybreak is an exciting, well-balanced game, but I couldn't keep playing it because of that gap between the picture it painted and the reality I saw. I appreciate reading how Leacock sees that gap.
