That startup? It became a major player in its industry.
Itโs easy to regret the money, but the real regret is missing the steepest learning curve of my career. I chose comfort, and comfort is the enemy of rapid growth.
โI often think about the one time I chose safety over potential.
โYears ago, I had the chance to join a tiny startupโmaybe five peopleโwith a mission I genuinely believed in. The pay cut was significant, the stability zero. I turned it down for a comfortable, reliable role.
At the intersection of learning, building, data, & connections, Ive found my creative space โ where curiosity meets collaboration, & evry idea has the potential to grow smarter ovr time.

And then there are connections themselves โ between people, teams, and ideas. Collaboration transforms isolated insights into collective intelligence. The best breakthroughs donโt happen in silos; they happen in conversation.
06.11.2025 02:54 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Data is the connective tissue โ it links patterns, people, and possibilities. Data helps us understand behavior, measure impact, and refine decisions. But data alone isnโt enough โ its true power emerges through how we connect and interpret it.
06.11.2025 02:54 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Building transforms that learning into something tangible. Itโs where creativity meets structure โ where ideas evolve into systems, tools, and solutions that analyze, predict, and inspire. Every build connects the what if to the whatโs next.
06.11.2025 02:54 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Learning fuels everything. Whether itโs exploring a new framework, dissecting a dataset, or viewing a challenge from a fresh perspective โ every step forward starts with curiosity. Learning connects ideas across disciplines and turns complexity into clarity.

Lately, Iโve been reflecting on what ties everything I do together โ and it always comes back to learning, building, data, and connections.

So I decided to ensure success
So began building a suite of tools to fix the data fragmentation.
And today I pushed my commits for the suite of tools.
#dotnet #devJourney
Fast-forward our tech stack is C# and .net and our director wanted some people in our department to learn the stack.
That was in June of this year.
I started with simple crud and continued to build my knowledge base on solutions based learning.
Identifying current systems where data was siloed
Learned the similarities between databases and blockchains.
Taught myself sql to query data
Got a promotion to business Intelligence Coordinator
Learned powerbi and advanced sql and taught myself basic python.
I became an assistant principal as soon as I got my master's in 2yrs.
Was the only data literate administrator so I was in charge of data.
Through siloed systems I taught myself access and excel.
Then the pandemic hit and I got into blockchain-->not crypto
Today I was able to officially push my first commits for review.
This may not seem like a big thing, but let's look at my journey.
I started as a Middle school History Teacher.
Went back to school to get my master's to become an assistant principal
Traded in the toxicity for tranquility. My mental health is thanking me for moving over to @bsky.app. Seriously, I'm so much happier here. โจ

Didn't write a single line of code.
Tomorrow is a new day.
