I realised as I walked to work this morning that I'd forgotten to get flowers for the classroom so I foraged as I walked; these wildflowers brighten the classroom just as well as anything I could have bought (possibly more as they were free!)

Childhood Saturdays were for The Library: tranquil whispers, the librarian ready with book suggestions/post book reviews. Info needed for homework was there (remember the Encyclopaedia Britannica volumes?) I inhabited physical and fantasy universes long before package holidays & the internet.

I've been reading certain classics at least biennially since my teens: Pride & Prejudice, Great Expectations, Mill on the Floss et al. @michellebark.bsky.social has summed up why perfectly: "enjoyment of mastery in language, of characters so alive we might imagine them walking into our living room"

Really productive ELSA Interventions using Lego Therapy to promote social interaction and test skills including turn-taking, problem solving and communication. Vehicle (and charging station) successfully completed after two sessions.
