My employer doesn't even use office. I have it at home, but I can't remember the last time I used it. Google ftw, I guess...

I made it to the gym this morning (so the second time this week), but my shoulder is so messed up that I couldn't even do 15lbs shoulder presses. i ended up coming home to eat an actual breakfast, and I wasn't mad at myself about the gym for once! I just kind of accepted my body's limitations.

Realized today that I can't afford to see my therapist every week, so we've moved to every other week. That means no therapy this week. I'm doing okay to good. Work things are less stressful now. I'm starting to get used to using my CPAP every night. Sleep scores still aren't great, but improving.

and there's enough soil for that. After the last batch are fed and watered, I'll be done and can finally sweep the dining room.

I've potted over 30 plants since Saturday. (Yes, some are up for grabs.) I've run out of soil with one spider plant to split and two pots to fill. I'm not sure i have it in me to go out and get more tonight. I have a trad that I dropped while trying to put it up to repot, again...

I've always thought that using aquarium water would make up for that, but this year I'm going to try indoor plant food in addition. I have a new app to track all the babies' feeding and watering requirements.

and there's not enough room on the shelves I have.

Two 50qt bags of potting soil and two 8qt bags of cactus/succulent mix was actually enough, but I'll need more next year.

Some of my plants had shallow root systems. I think it's due to a lack of feeding.

Notes on The Great Houseplant Repotting of 2025:

After 4-5 hours of repotting yesterday, I'm still not done.
Next year I'm buying way more pots than I think I need. I've just about run out.

I've also run out of room for plants since all but maybe 5 are being split or going into bigger pots...

I've neglected the other weekend chores today, and there's a possibility of doing some tonight, once I've finished with the plants.

I'm taking a break, because so far I've spent 1.75 hours repotting plants. I'm almost done with the first rack. I'm going to run out of pots and I don't have money set aside to buy more, so that kind of sucks. I'm hoping I can juggle things, but I keep having to split plants.

They were delivered as I was leaving the house to grab lunch. I know what I'm doing after I eat!

Thoughts on 66 days of sobriety (again 🙄):
My ancestors endured too much for me to not be the best me I can be.

It's important for me to remember my "why?".

I wonder if my growing up in Los Angeles has any bearing on me not really remembering this, or if it's just that I'm a smidge younger than you (I think).

There was so much potting soil and pumpkins in the back of my car that I backed Sparky into the driveway. I've never done that before and I was really proud of myself. That's all.

Houseplants are expensive to take care of, but my name are worth it. The old white guy at the self checkout was watching me like a hawk, not from the cashier station, but right next to me at the checkout the whole time.

Euthanized a neon tetra tonight. It had developed growths on fins and face and couldn't eat, so it was time. RIP little finned friend.

None of the other fish are exhibiting similar symptoms, so I'm chalking it up to a genetic predisposition. That's what I get for buying fish at Petsmart, tbh.

I swung by Schnucks for ice cream and $60 later I have fixins for dinner and no energy with which to make it. I've made myself a little drinky drink and am about to smoke a bowl, then maybe tend to dinner. Oh and I ate two donuts, so I'm not like, without sustenance.

PT was good in that I've been released to do stuff on a trial basis. If elbow starts acting up again, I have to start PT again.
