Okay, as a character monogamist who has basically played World of Magecraft for 20 years, I would love if classes had a more class-based intro experience. Nowadays I’m leveling so fast I just keep getting spells and talents and I have no idea what’s happening and then suddenly -boom- I’m lost.

Getting on adderall hasn’t necessarily Changed My Life™️ but it has improved it and I really wish I’d figured this out during high school/university.

I started doing the BFA one for fun after finishing the main season content, then realized there would of course be a TWW one so I made a list of what I figured would be on it. Turns out comparing BFA to TWW was wrong but in my favor: my list had so much more on there than it ended up.

Right, like, on testing for a level 80 it’s 1000 gold, which is essentially nothing. I think that if they launch with that, it would a. scale to your level and b. serve as a psychological trick to indicate you’re getting something of value more than anything else.

There’s enough stuff in housing that will cost money, all the materials to craft decor or buying items, etc, that housing *itself* doesn’t need to have any serious cost associated with it to function as a gold sink. Everyone can get a house, there’s infinite houses plots.

Okay wait more info, just watched this interview with Jesse Kurlancheek and he said that a brand new player finishes Exile’s Reach and gets a pop up to go the housing neighborhood and there is no concern about gold.

Also fwiw the prices of old materials are probably going to start climbing, now’s the best time to buy what you need to speed through profession leveling.

This is always my thought too, that my character wouldn’t have a massive place, but to make it nice and cozy.

With regards to Vol’dun furnishings: are you preparing? Do you have characters with all the BFA professions leveled?

They’ve always said it will have some cost, but that it will be essentially nominal and they want everyone to have access to housing, getting your plot is not intended to be a gold sink.

I think the question will always be do they have a *future* story to tell about a potential playable race. Allied races in BFA were a uniquely backward-looking moment, I think. So the popularity of a given not-yet-playable race could easily make a difference in what kind of story choices are written

Also, I was just watching Taliesin’s stream and he said something like “I have heard things I can’t repeat but Metzen is way less strict about lore than people think” so I really do think that anything they want to do, they can make it work. They just need to have a reason and a story to tell.
