Did you know Godzilla is now in the Public Domain?
09.12.2024 15:51 β π 26 π 4 π¬ 3 π 0It's happening! Llama 3.3 packs similar performance to Llama's 3.1 405B parameter but at 70B parameters!
Expect 2025 to be the year LLMs get smaller and faster. Its a matter of time before we get GPT-4 level models that can run on local devices.

Plenty of people will sign up for ChatGPTβs pro plan for its novelty, but I still think the future is in Small Language Models.
On device models for knowledge retrieval and tasks will be used more frequently than large models for complex reasoning and the best of these models will be open source.
Can you elaborate? I couldnβt come to the same conclusion. To me it felt like an unnecessary abstraction that took away from seeing your data model in a more SQL-like way. But I also admit I havenβt spent much time with it.

30.11.2024 22:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0(Elixir + LiveView + Oban + Flame) is an awesome tech stack for CPU/GPU workloads!
Elixir = a functional language with fault tolerance
Flame = Spins up VMs to execute functions and powers them down when done
Oban = job orchestrator that handles fault tolerance
LiveView = real-time UI tracking
Bsky is awesome!
Feels like Threads in the early days. Hopeful itβs a place people keep coming back to. That never happened with Threads
Others have noted it but I will too: The big reason Bluesky is so hot right now is that the people who add value to social media - the frequent posters in specific fields - are here now, talking to each other and creating the "spectator value" that draws users and attention.

Looks doable! MAU on X has dropped like a brick and people are looking for a new home. That growth rate could increase significantly in the coming weeks. I'm cautiously optimistic.
