A tree that appears to be smiling when hugged
Trees don't have nervous systems, but do feel what is happening, & do experience something analogous to pain when they are damaged

Very pleased to announce a new show of selected works this month in Chelsea, NYC, at @galleryhenoch - March 19th to April 11th, 2026.
As a self-critic, Ravel even surpassed the notoriously-demanding Brahms, taking much longer to complete pieces and producing a smaller catalog. He constantly denigrated his works; the famous Pavane was "formally weak", while Bolero was "15 minutes of orchestration without music."
