*Baghra sighs* I leave my son and granddaughter alone for a few days and come back to discover there was an incident.

She often tries to make her son see reason, often to little to no avail. She advises her granddaughter on how to succeed where she could not. She was horrified that her son created the Shadow Fold and tries to bring about its destruction by advising Alina, Aleksandra, and the Darkling.

Baghra is the mother of the Darkling and grandmother of Aleksandra Morozova. She is a Shadow Summoner who keeps her family's past a secret from everyone. She does tell Aleksandra stories of it. She also tells Alina some of it with Aleksandra's help. She helps raise and train Aleksandra.
