The US immigrant population generated more in taxes than they received in benefits from all levels of government every year from 1994 to 2023.

The Cato study provides the first-ever 30-year analysis of the fiscal effects of immigration on government budgets.

Well, that's terrible news.
If the Bureau can only contact households twice (translates, in most cases, to 1 mailer + 1 knock at the door), the undercount will be horrendous. There's a reason there is broad, bipartisan opposition to this language in the $ bill--including from the business community.

Sad that this has to be my first post here, but the gutting of the FSRDC program is disastrous for demographic research.
