New lagoons: 4 Little egret, Common sandpiper, Greenshank, Gadwall duck with 9 large ducklings. Scrapes: 3 Ruff. Also drake Surf scoter offshore. #birdinglothian

Aberlady am. Amazed to see huge gathering of Sand Martins. About 1,000 on shingle and 1000+ over reserve and some feeding quite far out to sea. Mostly juveniles seen over Marl Loch.
