In just one week, my family and I will be leaving Rwanda as we prepare to relocate to Tanzania. It’s been an incredible 4½ years — a time filled with meaningful experiences, inspiring people, and unforgettable encounters with Rwanda’s extraordinary wildlife. 🪶White-faced Ibis - got these shots down in Cottonwood, AZ a couple of months ago. A flock flew in and circled probably 30 times before finally deciding to land. Lots of chances to snap photos! Cool birds!

🪶 Bullock's Oriole - gorgeous bird that had some things to say to me while camping in Eastern Oregon. Loved watching these orange bolts fly amongst the trees.

Thank you! I use Photo-mechanic for fast culling (thousands to dozens), then import keepers into Lightroom Classic. I then run Dx0 Pure Raw for noise reduction and general cleanup. From there it varies by photo in Lightroom, but I often do some specific mask work, and of course basic levels.

🪶Western Kingbird - cleared for landing? In the flycatcher family, these birds are fairly acrobatic. This one was really moving and I was lucky to get any clear shot at all!

🪶Northern Flicker - eyeing some water down below just before sunset. These birds are fascinating to watch, as they’re very cautious when eating, pausing frequently to scan the skies for trouble (i.e., raptors).

A beautiful bit of Nature, The Least bittern.

Such an interesting creature to watch, as it wanders through the swamp. It will constantly look for tadpoles., dragonfly larva, and frogs.
