Yes. I am right. I am seeing how Chat GPT is ruining students critical thinking and writing skills in real time. It is not the future. It is a tool designed to render the populace helpless, to make people doubt their innate intelligence, and to foster overreliance on technology.

Everyone should read this article, regardless of what they thought of campus protests, and ask how any institution can expect to retain its academic freedom if it makes a deal with this government, which is a personalist dictatorship in its conduct of national security affairs.

I find this whole thing so interesting. The paper is cool, and these researchers are very clever.

All of it reinforces for me what I already believe: we need to use our brains more, not less. If that's the only lesson I impart to my students in the next few years, I will call it a major success.
