It suggests Trump IMAGINED the #2 and #3 choice would immediately side with Trump, like Delcy Rodriguez did.

There's no reason to believe anyone in Trump's vicinity is going him good analytical advice.

People might think Trump won't send troops into Iran, they need to think again. This will sow chaos in the United States. It will bring outrage and possibly violence. During that chaos, Trump could takeover elections and enact martial law, suspend the United States Constitution.
