Agreed. My problem is I have lived in NYC for 2 years and still haven't seen a Batman.

I think seeing Batman once/year would still be low enough an occurrence to be "rare". So assuming I see ~200 different people/day, this means I just need to inspire 1,164 NYC-ers to dress up as Batman daily.

It could propose a more efficient way to use energy, so in the long run the net energy lost would be less... but implementing whatever it suggests may not be straight forward or actually helpful.

Flight disruption warning as Airbus requests modifications to 6,000 planes The European aerospace giant said it had found that intense radiation from the Sun could corrupt data crucial to flight controls.

I am a little late in posting this, but mass cancellations result from discovery that computers installed on one of the most widely operated passenger planes could be vulnerable to interference from the sun.

Butterball recommends cooking a 18lbs turkey for 4.5h at 325. At this temperature the average oven draws 3,000 Watts, meaning the energy to oven cook a turkey is 48,600,000 J.

Internet says a 80 dB scream is 0.001 Watts, so you could also try screaming for 1,541 years. Could be a family activity ๐Ÿฆƒ

Not to the extent where they can completely stop/start "radiative transfer", but they play a role in how heating moves throughout the atmosphere and what undergoes the most/least transfer.

One of my geophysics "fun facts" is that what heats the Earth the most is the Earth itself.

This is b/c: 1) the Earth's atmosphere/surface converts so much of the Sun's wide spectrum of radiation (e.g. UV and visible ๐ŸŒˆ) into infrared (heat), and 2) the Earth's atmosphere is good at trapping heat๐ŸŒค๏ธ
