Glorious Gloucester Cathedral. The earliest example of fan vaulting (1350s) & the first use of alabaster for a kingโ€™s effigy (Edward II). I also enjoyed our guideโ€™s gloss of Edward IIโ€™s downfall as being due to โ€˜his wife not liking him very muchโ€™.
