I fought First Sinner for hours and didn't get frustrated but 15 minutes with Broodmother makes me want to skip her lol.

Yeah basically. Problem that comes from it being with a reader defined sub genre trend I think, especially where everyone's idea of cozy is different. I also think people conflate cozy with stories/books they find comforting or comfortable, which is different imo.

what does cozy fantasy even mean nowadays. Because I've been seeing it used for any book that has stakes lower than "the world is going to end" and any humor involved.
