The amazing Sunstruck by William Rayfet Hunter is going to be released tomorrow!
It's one of the best books I've read and I'll keep saying it - if it isn't a classic in 50+ years it'll be a damn shame. @netgalley.bsky.social

Such a pleasure, it's such an amazing book! And thank YOU! Honestly can't remember the last time I felt so bowled over by a book. Just what I needed at the right time. New favourite author/gay icon? Absolutely π
Can't lie, it really gave me so many confidence boosts, too! Gaywise and authorwise π
Yet I didn't choose to reply to anyone who posted about enjoying the Gavin & Stacey episode with an arsey question. It's almost as if I'm allowed to not enjoy things and have an opinion on the writing of sitcoms I have loved since I was a child, as a viewer and as a writer myself.

Anyway I'm obsessed and I hope that one day I find my Noah, and that my books might be on a shelf near Jack Strange's in the future.
Here's to Hay forever being gay β¨
A copy of Look Up, Handsome boy Jack Strange on my bookcase cardigan. the cover shows the main character Quinn (short with dark hair) standing with Noah (tall, blond, glasses) in the snowy street outside Quinn's shop. Noah leans against a lamppost and holds mistletoe above Quinn's head suggestively.
@jackstrangeauthor.bsky.social is an absolute legend and Look Up, Handsome is a must read for the festive season. I'll post a review soon but safe to say I loved it, it's every bit as gorgeous as Riccardo Bessa's cover.

Not me taking over from my dad as Grinch
In my opinion:
Doctor Who was meh (tho that's on Moffat as per - definitely not Ncuti)
Wallace & Gromit was dull af
Gavin & Stacey was crap (tho I'm not a fan of old people moaning they can't be bigots anymore, and "plots" of just old references)
Also thank god for Ncuti, Nicola and Steph de Whalley's (Anita) acting for making that worth it at all
