I picked up take out at Peoples Indian tonight, and noticed my receipt said “VIP Customer.” I’ve made it, guys.

That’s the other thing, I usually take the bus to Stage AE nine months out of the year, so a coat check would encourage alternate forms of transportation.

I take the bus or walk whenever possible nine months of the year, but I’m a giant baby in these sub-20 degree temps.

Saturday when it was zero out, I had to leave my coat in the car and jog into Bottlerocket (and it ended up being warm enough inside that I would have been miserable if I hadnt). It all feels so silly.

Doesn’t work for you, but I typically end up driving just to park at the lot behind it, leave my coat in the car, and run in. It’s very silly that we have to choose between being freezing outside or sweating to death inside.

Honestly gutted by this. She is my fav Spirit player.

I know it’s gauche to complain about roads living in Pittsburgh, but it’s wild how you could ski down Baum right now, and the roads five miles north are completely clear.

Also, impressive that Baum was in the same condition coming home at 6:30 as it was when I left at 2.

A plow does appear to have been down my street at some point, but not since it’s stopped snowing. I’m hoping Baum and Bigelow are clear(ish) because I have to go to a funeral north of here in a few hours.

It’s snowing outside. I have tea in my hand, a book in my lap, and Phoebe Bridgers on the turntable. I am content.

Ekitike has been so good you have to wonder what his season (and Liverpool’s) would look like without the Isak signing and the subsequent attempt to work him into the lineup before he was fit.

Yeah, no shade to those nations. It would be fun to see any World Cup game, but having to pay $150 + travel and hotel costs just to sit in the worst seats for a match that’s unlikely to be consequential is just not enticing.

I hope the USL scheduling gods look favorably upon you.

It’s insane. I can pay $140 to sit in the upper deck of one of the ends and watch Curaçao vs. Ivory Coast? Not to mention the costs of getting to Philly and how expensive hotel rooms are likely to be. No thanks. My soccer goal for 2026 is to get to a Spirit game.

I was really impressed with Holdt during the LFC game. Begrudgingly.

It’d be nice to have a commissioner who wasn’t constantly making decisions (on this, the salary cap in general, trans players, whatever the Unwell nonsense was) that feel like they’re intended to sabotage the league’s success.
