Kiddo is at his first school camp - he’s having a blast and my wife and I have gotten more done around the house in one day than we have in weeks! I never internalised how interrupt driven a typical family day is. Good parallel for having those meeting free days at work so folks can get stuff done!

Will be scoring at my son’s #cricket game tomorrow. Two observations - kids all geared up at age 9 is one of those strange “oh they’re growing up!” moments as parent. The other is that I’m glad I have a Comp Sci degree behind me coz scoring this game is archaic as heck 😂

Was reviewing Porter’s Five forces again with @brunoborges.bsky.social tonight - great trip down memory lane when we applied this to jClarity during its life before acquisition. Recommend using models like this to help reduce uncertainty when you’re in a new domain. Like I was as a first time CEO 🙂

Had a #fail in setting up folks for success presenting to a very senior leaders. When reviewing the material, I didn’t see enough concrete conclusions or asks but I hesitated and didn’t postpone it. The presenters did great! But the reaction was muted at best. Hope folks can learn from my mistake 🙂

Back to sharing idle short form thoughts 🙂. #genai like #copilot and #chatgpt have enabled me to be a 1-person triage customer support machine. I can take the accountability to front up to customers giving robust feedback *and* 90% of the time give them a path to resolution, and it’s actually fun!

Gosh this platform got real busy all of a sudden. As they say, competition is good 🙂

Good to be here, will be interesting to see how this evolves vs Mastodon!
