I think you’re looking for receipts and official statements. technicalities have been weaponized. Nuance is dead. Fascists killed it. If people understand what I mean by state run media, then I have successfully communicated my larger idea and the dictionary definition is irrelevant.

Then I suggest you make your own chart to communicate your ideas and you can do it just the way you like.

In the text of my original post I say this graphic is a year old and cbs should now be under state run media. So I think that’s where the misunderstanding may be. I suggesting trying to be more patient with people if they aren’t showing you ill intent. Easier said than done, I know. but worth trying

I suppose i based it on how entirely captured the editorial direction is by fascist ideology. And by how blatant the lies are and how fully separate from truth the alternate reality they generate is. I know they can do it. But, did it really work in dial of destiny? All I was thinking during the whole sequences was “yeah thats a fairly convincing face replacement”. When I should have been thinking “how is Indiana jones gonna get out of this mess?” I dunno. I want to see it. But I’m skeptical.

Yeah, but I mean. At some point you need to see Conan swing a sword and I don’t think Arnold could realistically perform that in a way that doesn’t look sad. They’d have to use body doubles. But body doubling Arnold removes the thing that made Arnold Conan - his physicality. I’ll still watch though.

I’ve been seeing a ton of love for the movie in the comedy podcast space (the cool ones, like blank check. not the maga ones). So even though box office isn’t crazy, industry people are noticing. I hope this helps launch the filmmaker to another level. He could be like a Canadian safdie brothers.

I think it was mismarketed. Leading with Gylinhall as director made it feel like an actors experimental vanity project, not a real big movie. It was giving driveway dolls meets the people’s joker. I was genuinely surprised when it got good reviews.
